Artist Spotlight: Jess Blazejewski
Hey friends! If you've been feeling down lately, I totally get it. The virtual schooling, the virus continuing to spread, the political climate, the incessant racism...all of it together is a lot to handle. A lot. Perhaps this means that you're in need of a quick breather, otherwise known as a good distraction. If that's the case, you're in luck! I've got the perfect distraction for you...November's Artist of the Month: Jess Blazejewski.
I first discovered Jess through another designer who made mention of her work on Instagram. Within the first minute of visiting her website I was hooked. She has so many beautiful pieces. When I realized that she sells affordable prints, in multiple sizes, I knew I had a responsibility to spread the word! I also love that you can order prints from her website with a frame. How easy is that?! A ready to hang masterpiece, done and done.
Here’s a bit about Jess, directly from her website:
“You'll find a little bit of everything in my collections.
I focus mainly on oil paintings of dreamy landscapes and sculptures of the female form, but you'll find charcoal figure sketches, watercolor flowers on handmade paper, cast paper reliefs of nudes, and other special pieces I was called to make along the way.
One of my goals is to have the studio feel like a 19th century villa, with a collection of classical treasures set against gorgeous natural vistas.
Growing up in small town New England left me with a deep appreciation for the beauty in each season, rambling bucolic landscapes, and a quieter pace of life.
I got my Bachelor of Fine Arts at Cornell University, where I met my husband Mike, and we now live in a cozy little house just outside Boston in Natick, Massachusetts, with our 6 yr old son Grey, our 2 yr old daughter Lila, & our cat Pierogi.
When I'm not in the studio, I’m likely hitting up the library with the kiddos, rewatching BBC's Pride & Prejudice for the umpteenth time, taking a hike at our local wildlife sanctuary, or drooling over beautiful interiors on Pinterest.”
Jess’s work is incredible…soft, romantic, and dreamy! I had such a hard time choosing favorites but here are just a few…

Jess also sells a collection of prints on Minted…
These black and white sketches are my fav of the bunch on Minted. They would look amazing in a gold frame!
What do you think?! Are you madly in love with those sketches, or her ethereal landscapes? I’m sure one of those puppies will be in my online shopping cart very soon! They are truly beautiful.
Speaking of beauty and love, if you are an American, please vote! Vote for change, and vote for love...as if our nation depends on it, because it does!
That is all, friends.
Wishing you a beautiful, and healthy, week ahead!
