Artist Spotlight: Konnie Kim
If you’re a landscape lover, today is your lucky day! April’s “Artist of the Month” is Konnie Kim. She’s got a gorgeous collection of paintings, with bright vibrant colors, that will warm up your home in an instant. I adore her seascapes…they have me dreaming of warm, sunny, beach days ahead.
Konnie sells her art through her own website where you can order her beautiful pieces framed and ready to hang.
Here’s a bit about Konnie from her website: “Inspired by nature, real and imagined, Konnie Kim paints in bold and radiant colors. She is drawn to many works of the Fauves and the Impressionists. Her calligraphic brush strokes and interesting use of colors are what the collectors love about Konnie's work.
Konnie's earlier work reflects her curious personality. She has explored almost all available medium and styles of fine art and graphic design. At the age of 18 she realized her first commercial success with licensed illustrations for a manufacturer and she is currently licensed with others. While in college she coordinated fine art shows in traditional and non-traditional settings for herself and other artists. These became known as "Any Space Shows". The venues included hotels, galleries, schools and theaters, eventually totaling over 100 shows. Konnie has received numerous awards and her work has appeared in magazines, newspapers, TV shows and online venues.”
I had a hard time choosing favorites from her body of work, but here are just a few that I’ve fallen in love with…
How sweet is that little shack on the beach?!
Konnie also has some gorgeous floral still lifes.
Trust me, I could keep going but I’ll let you explore more on your own. If you’re a regular reader here, you know the deal. If you see something you love, buy it… without asking your bestie’s opinion (see rule number 2 in this post)! There’s nothing better than owning a painting you love. Buying a piece of art that speaks to your soul will get you one step closer to a home you love.
Wishing you a beautiful, and healthy, week ahead.
