Pretty sure I first discovered Marisa’s art on Artfully Walls. The vibrant colors and beautiful flowers pulled me right in. You know I’m a sucker for flowers! If you look beyond the childlike, playful, shapes, you’ll find an air of sophistication. Which means…Marisa’s paintings work equally well in spaces for children and spaces for adults. I’m currently considering one of Marisa’s paintings for my powder room.

Here’s a bit about Marisa from her bio on Artfully Walls…

“Art for me, is so much more than the paintings I make, it is a way of living. Day by day I work towards being who I am as a person and as a woman through my art. I paint the images that come into my mind, focusing on what I feel I need to do. Light and nature are my inspiration. The colours of the Mediterranean coast where I live, are part of my identity, but they are also the inspiration for my palette. Painting is a way to look into my inner world and bring it out, making it public. This makes me learn more about myself everyday and keeps me looking forward to the future. I am passionate about my painting and spend every day in my studio, doing what I love. A keen and experienced traveler myself, I am delighted that my paintings are collected by art lovers all over the world.”

Marisa sells her originals through Saatchi, Chairish, and Artfinder, while her prints can be found on sites like Artfully Walls.

Here’s a few of my favorite originals.

I love the striped shadow at the bottom of this piece.

If you’re on a tight budget, here’s some gorgeous prints…

I had lots of fun playing around with Marisa’s art. Here’s a transitional dining room I just designed with one of her originals taking center stage.

This piece would look just as great in a more traditional space…
