Artist Spotlight: Yury Klyan

I recently discovered Yury’s work while searching for a nude sketch to round out my gallery wall. Then down the rabbit hole I went, favoriting a large portion of his collection. Yury’s work has a simple nature to it, but don’t mistake simple for unsophisticated. Put it in a beautiful frame and it’ll stand proud amongst any other collector’s piece.

Yury’s sketches and paintings can be found on Artfinder. They’re original pieces, but all very affordable (as compared to others). I purchased one of his nudes after a shipping mishap on another, and it just came the other day. Let me tell you it’s just as lovely as pictured online…

His collection of small paintings would fit perfectly amongst other pieces on a bookshelf, or a mantel.

Here’s some background info on Yury from his bio on Artfinder…

“My name is Yury. I was born in Kazakhstan. I lived in Tomsk. One day I moved to Moscow. I was intrigued by the Moscow school of painting. I was interested in the technique of this school, and this is evident in all my works. Now I live in France, on the Cote d'Azur.

I use different materials to create them and work in different genres. I participate in exhibitions and sell my paintings quickly. After that, there were very few of them left. I am always open to suggestions from fans of my work. My paintings are located in different countries of the world. This is how energy, inspiration and dreams are exchanged. I have worked as an interior designer for many years. Painting is always present in my life. The world is bright and changeable. People are still unpredictable, and we have a lot to talk about. In the meantime, let's get acquainted…”

Here’s a few of my favorite pieces from Yury’s collection…

This simple coffee cup sketch would be the perfect choice for a kitchen vignette.

I think these little birds would feel right at home in a small bathroom or a nursery.

I love Yury’s delicate flowers floating on colored paper. So gorgeous.

If you love one of Yury’s pieces, then snatch it up ASAP. These are one of a kind originals and once they’re gone…they’re gone. You’ll never regret purchasing art that speaks to your soul. It will bring so much joy to your space while getting you one step closer to a home you love.

Wishing you a beautiful week ahead.
