Confession: I hate wires. And remotes. And clutter. This, my friends, is why I love home accessories that double as storage. I have many of them throughout my home.

Boxes, baskets, and trays. All helping to make my life more organized, and beautiful.

Trays are perfect for housing coffee table accessories, and office supplies, or for corralling kitchen items and toiletries. I scoured the internet to find the best options for you -both beautiful and well reviewed (on the sites that actually have reviews, of course some do not).

If you’ve got a lot going on (read: clutter) you’ll also need boxes.

Amazing for corralling all the small things. Of course the pretty things like jewelry, crystals, souvenirs, etc. deserve a clear lid, so look for glass shadow boxes like option #2 (below). The other boxes are great for things you’d like to hide: remotes, craft supplies, or chocolate that you don’t want to share with your spouse.

If you need help concealing larger items like cable boxes, laundry, shoes, etc. then you need some large baskets! Preferably baskets with a lid.

I personally own #4 which conceals our cable box- thank God.

Yep, there’s really a cable box in there!

Yep, there’s really a cable box in there!

I also have the largest version of #6, that I use to store throw blankets and extra pillows: things that need to be corralled, but not necessarily concealed.

In other news, Happy 1 Year Anniversary to me!! Yep, this blog is exactly 1 year old today. THANK YOU for taking the time to read it, and for all the super sweet comments. I hope that in some small way it has helped you in your mission to create a home you love.

If you enjoy reading my blog, please share the love and send this to a friend who could perhaps use some help with their home decor. Of course, don’t tell them they need help. Just be causal about it and say, “Hey, here’s a blog that I love, I think you’ll love it too.” Trust me, it will sound a lot better than: “Your house is a hot mess, you really need help.”

Anyway…stick around friends, there’s lots more to come!
