It’s almost time to celebrate one of my favorite days of the year, Small Business Saturday! The home decor items I’ve purchased from small businesses are by far my favorite things in the house. They’re much more special than the accessories I’ve accumulated from Target. I think because they have a story behind them. Not just the story of me wandering happily around the shop for an hour, but the story behind the story. The business owner’s story of how their shop came to be.

Purchasing something from a small business owner means you’re doing your part to keep their story, and their dream, alive. Purchasing from a Black business owner means you’re supporting them and their community while helping to close the racial wealth gap.

This year I’m sticking with my ever-prevalent theme of home decor for $50 and under. Without further delay, here’s my epic round-up of the best home decor from some of the top small businesses, here in the U.S.
