Artist Spotlight: Rebecca Jack
I found Rebecca’s art quite some time ago and fell madly in love with this piece.
I saved it, but didn't pull the trigger in time. It will forever be the one that got away. Cue the heart pangs.
Rebecca’s figures have such an iconic feel to them. I love all those vibrant blues melting into one another; they call my name like the underbaked chocolate cookies on my kitchen counter.
Her paintings would look equally amazing in a modern home, or a traditional one. They’re statement makers. Hang Rebecca’s art on any wall and it will take your space to the next level.
Here’s a bit about the artist from her site:
“Rebecca is originally from Knoxville, Tennessee. She is a self-taught artist with a bachelors degree in Interior design. Through her process, she intuitively discerns what stays and goes, layer upon layer by marking, scraping, wiping away, layering again until the painting feels complete. She is inspired by color, shape, pattern and contrast. Abstracting interior spaces, landscapes, florals and the figure are common subjects in her work. She explores themes of consciousness within the spatial context of our personal interior world and the interconnectedness of the exterior through our humanity, relationships, and the environment. She is currently living in Atlanta, Georgia with her husband Lars, son Leif and their hound dog Elvis.”
Rebecca sells originals on her website, as well as on Chairish, ALKMY and Westcover.
If an original painting is not in the cards, you can find a collection of affordable prints on Saatchi Art. They can be purchased framed or unframed, though I’d highly suggest the unframed version. Rebecca’s paintings would look incredible in a custom frame (affiliate link) from Framebridge. Check out “Clementine” in the Georgetown frame. It’s a match made in heaven.
Here’s a few more gorgeous prints for your viewing pleasure…
