Artist Spotlight: Georgesse Gomez
Georgesse is brand new to me. I discovered her work while searching for a still life for my kitchen shelves. I fell in love with her persimmons then I immediately began stalking the rest of her collection. Of course when I stumbled upon her Italian countryside paintings, it sealed the deal on my crush. I miss Italy like you wouldn’t believe.
Here’s a bit of background on Georgesse from her website: “Georgesse, an impressive contemporary painter whose engaging brush work attracts collectors nationally, has been recognized by The de Young Museum, The Triton Museum, Oil Painters of America, July 2020 FAV15 Bold Brush Competitions, Richeson75Figure/Portrait 2020 Finalist and National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society.
Georgesse captures the quiet and tranquil moments of daily life offering a poetic view of humanity in the context of domestic and rural settings. After an invigorating workshop in Italy last year. Georgesse is inspired to capture the same beauty in the abundant landscapes replete with orchards and produce on the Central Coast of California. Her paintings exude warmth, romance and peace.”
Yes to all of the warmth, romance, and peace! What else could you need in 2020?!
Here’s some of my favorites from Georgesse’s collection…

How amazing is the texture on that garlic bulb?!
I love that Georgette’s work is so accessible. That’s one of my criteria for Artist of the Month, ya know. The artist must have affordable work available for my readers. Georgette certainly does. She sells prints on Artfully Walls, and originals on her website, at attainable price points. Get this…she also sells greeting cards for $3.00, like this beauty below!
Most people I know have at least 3 bucks to spare. Why not buy a greeting card for yourself and put in a pretty little guided frame? It will look stunning on your kitchen windowsill! And…it will get you one step closer to a home you love.
Wishing you a beautiful, and healthy, week ahead!
