Let’s talk “coffee table books.” Your coffee table needs them, your bookshelves need them, your side tables need them...I could go on and on. They are an absolute essential when it comes to styling your home.

There are two schools of thought when it comes to selecting coffee table books. Thought 1: buy books only based on the color(s) of their cover. Thought 2: buy books based on your interest. I recommend starting with the latter. Then you can consider the colors, if you so choose to.

When I style a client’s home my goal is always the same, to make it feel unique and special to people that live there. Your home should tell a story about you. When I walk in I should be able to get a sense of what makes you happy. Do you love to travel? Are you a fan of hip hop? Are you passionate about flowers? If you haven’t already guessed where I’m going with this, coffee table books are a great way to let your style and personality shine through.

I got Cultivated as a holiday gift, and I adore it, highly recommend! It’s got beautiful pictures, obviously, but also tons of great insider tips on floral arranging. Bonus: the orange cover is gorgeous!

Now for some eye candy for my fashion forward friends. Some of these are older, like the Tom Ford and Chanel books, but they’re classics and well worth having in your collection.
